Branson

So this weekend I went to Branson with Josh and his family. We left Thursday afternoon and got back yesterday at 7. The last time I was in Branson was when I was maybe 10. So everything was pretty new to me.
We stayed at the Hilton landing in a condo, which was insane. Our balconey overlooked the shopping areas and the lake. Everything was decorated in Christmas lights and they played Christmas music the entire time until 12 at night.

We went to several places while we were there. I got see two Imax movies for the first time (I know I'm sheltered), we went to Silver Dollar City, and we did tons of shopping.

Silver Dollar City was really decked out for Christmas; they have this massive tree does light performances every hour and every inch of the park is covered in lights. It was extremely cold when we went because we decided to go at night to watch the lights and such, so now I'm sick (but it was worth it). We got to see A Christmas Carol while we there too, which was a play about Scrouge. At the end they shot bubbles out of the ceiling which was suppose to be snow. I also got to ride Fire in the Hole, which was the only rollar coaster we could ride because it was so cold and it's the only one indoors.

The ride home, however, was brutal and trying to get back into my normal routine has been a little hard. I couldn't sleep at all last night because I was so sick. lol.

So, yeah, that was my weekend. I thought it would make an interesting blog :)

Yoga, Day One.

Well, I started the Tara Stiles yoga and I really really liked it, but it kicked my butt and I could only do 20 minutes out of an hour of yoga.
So I guess my first attempt was a fail, but my body feels awesome! I'm going to try again tomorrow if I'm not too sore.

I think this might be a new hobby for me. I really enjoyed it a lot and even though I'm not good at it yet, I really think it's something I want to keep up with and get better at.
Seriously, all of my muscles are feeling it. It's crazy. I haven't felt this good since my long distance running days.

Speaking of which

I'm thinking about buying some protein powder or Ensure or something to help me gain a little weight back. But I'm not sure what would be the best choice right now. I'm still researching it and since I'm lactose intolerant, I'm slightly limited. Although, there are a lot of vegan choices of protein powder, there just a wee bit more expensive. Which sucks.

I will update you guys on my yoga attempts next week! If anyone can offer a little advice on either yoga or protein powder choices, feel free to leave a comment! I would love some input!
