P90X

P90X!! My mom got the P90x the other day and is going to start the program tomorrow, so I decided to try it out too. I think... I'm going to die.

I can't do long distance running as of yet because I'm not at the ideal weight, I need to gain about 3-5 more pounds. I haven't been able to do anything as of lately and it's starting to suck. So I though about maybe picking up yoga. I bought a Tara Stiles dvd the other day, I've heard she's pretty freaking awesome so I'm going to try it out.

I'm kinda nervous about the P90x since I've been told that people have injured themselves in various ways. Plus I don't want to look like this: Desiree' Ellis

That's just scary.

Yoga like it would be the most ideal type of activity to do right now for my body weight so I'm really excited about it. :3 Tara Stiles also has a youtube channel that I've been subscribed to for awhile and her videos are the shit! (Tara Stiles YouTube)

I will let you guys know how the p90x goes for me on Tuesday. lawlz! And hopefully I will get my yoga dvd in soonly so I can stop feeling like a bum. :D

  1. Yeah, I know a couple of people who have done p90x and they say it's pretty intense. If you are worried about injuries, just make sure you do a really good warm up before you start and you don't push yourself to hard when you are working out. Slowly work yourself up to where the instructor are telling you to be at. Also it really helps if you drink lots of water when you are working out because it helps to minimize how sore you will feel later. If P90x ends up being too crazy intense for you, you can try p90, which is a calmer version of p90x. It was made before p90x but has the same instructor.

  2. Thank you so much for the advice. I've heard about the P90 but I didn't know how it worked.
